LIMERICK COUNTY INFIRMARY (ABOLITION) ORDER, 1958.

The Minister for Health in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 86 of the Public Assistance Act, 1939 (No. 27 of 1939) as adapted by the Local Government and Public Health (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1947 (S.R. and O. 1947 No. 16) and by the Health (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1958 ( S.I. No. 202 of 1958 ), after consultation with the Council of the County of Limerick and the Committee of Management of the Limerick County Infirmary, hereby orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Limerick County Infirmary (Abolition) Order, 1958.

2. The Limerick County Infirmary is hereby abolished.

3. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1959.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to transfer the property, debts and liabilities of Limerick County Infirmary to Limerick Corporation as from 1st January, 1959.
