DEPARTMENT OF POSTS AND TELEGRAPHS. POST OFFICE SAVINGS BANK REGULATIONS, 1921 (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1958. | ||
DATED THIS 5th DAY OF APRIL, 1958. | ||
I, CAOIMGHÍN Ó BEOLÁIN, Acting Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Sections I and II of the Post Office Savings Bank Act, 1861, mid with the consent of the Minister for Finance hereby make the following regulations :— 1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Post Office Savings Bank Regulations, 1921, (Amendment) Regulations, 1958. | ||
(2) These Regulations, shall come into operation on the 14th day of April, 1958. 2. The Post Office Savings Bank Regulations, 1921, are hereby amended as follows :— | ||
(a) in regulation 45 for £5 (which was substituted in that Regulation for £1 by the Post Office Savings Bank Regulations, 1921 (Amendment) Regulations, 1955) there shall be substituted £10. | ||
(b) in Regulation 47 for Ten pounds there shall be substituted Twenty-five pounds. | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE. | ||
These Regulations provide for the increasing of the limits of amounts payable from Post Office Savings Bank accounts from £5 to £10 in cases of withdrawals on demand and from £10 to £25 in cases of withdrawals by telegraph. |
