DEPARTMENT OF POSTS AND TELEGRAPHS. POST OFFICE SAVINGS BANK REGULATIONS, 1921 (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1958.

DATED THIS 5th DAY OF APRIL, 1958.

I, CAOIMGHÍN Ó BEOLÁIN, Acting Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Sections I and II of the Post Office Savings Bank Act, 1861, mid with the consent of the Minister for Finance hereby make the following regulations :—

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Post Office Savings Bank Regulations, 1921, (Amendment) Regulations, 1958.

(2) These Regulations, shall come into operation on the 14th day of April, 1958.

2. The Post Office Savings Bank Regulations, 1921, are hereby amended as follows :—

(a) in regulation 45 for £5 (which was substituted in that Regulation for £1 by the Post Office Savings Bank Regulations, 1921 (Amendment) Regulations, 1955) there shall be substituted £10.

(b) in Regulation 47 for Ten pounds there shall be substituted Twenty-five pounds.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations provide for the increasing of the limits of amounts payable from Post Office Savings Bank accounts from £5 to £10 in cases of withdrawals on demand and from £10 to £25 in cases of withdrawals by telegraph.
