CREAMERY BUTTER (LEVY) REGULATIONS, 1958.

I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 18 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Act, 1935 (No. 21 of 1935), as amended by section 6 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) (Amendment) Act, 1941 (No. 9 of 1941), hereby make the following regulations :

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Creamery Butter (Levy) Regulations, 1958.

2. The rate of levy on creamery butter manufactured on or before the 31st day of March, 1958, other than creamery butter sold on or before that day, shall be 9s. 8d. per cwt.

3. The rate of levy on creamery butter manufactured on or after the 1st day of April, 1958, shall be 26s. 8d. per cwt.

4. The Creamery Butter (Levy) Order, 1957 ( S.I. No. 101 of 1957 ), is hereby revoked as on and from the 1st day of April, 1958.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations impose a levy of 9s. 8d. per cwt. on sales by creameries on and after the 1st April, 1958, of butter of their own manufacture produced before that date and a levy of 26s. 8d. per cwt. on sales by creameries on and after the 1st April, 1958, of butter of their own manufacture produced on and after that date.
