IMPOSITION OF DUTIES (YARN OF MAN-MADE FIBRES) ORDER, 1958.

I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Imposition of Duties Act, 1957 (No. 7 of 1957), and with the consent of the Minister for Industry and Commerce, hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Imposition of Duties (Yarn of Man-made Fibres) Order, 1958.

2. The duty of customs imposed by the Imposition of Duties (No. 3) (Yarn of Man-made Fibres) Order, 1957 ( S.I. No. 148 of 1957 ), shall not, as respects articles imported on or after the 18th day of March, 1958, and before the 1st day of January, 1959, be charged or levied on any of the following articles, namely :

(a) yarns commonly known as bouclé, gimp, knop, chenille, bead, loop, curl, spiral, slub and snarl yarns,

(b) other yarns of a value exceeding ten shillings per pound weight.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to exempt from the duty on man-made fibres the yarns enumerated at Section 2 of the Order, which are imported before 1st January, 1959.
