SPECIALIST SERVICES (CHARGES) ORDER, 1957.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 15 of the Health Act, 1953 (No. 26 of 1953), as amended by section 1 of the Health and Mental Treatment Act, 1957 (No. 16 of 1957), hereby orders as follows :—

1. This order may be cited as the Specialist Services (Charges) Order, 1957.

2. This order shall come into operation on 28th October, 1957.

3. The charges for specialist services for the purposes of paragraph (b) of sub-section (5) of section 15 of the Health Act, 1953 , shall be—

(a) for each x-ray examination—seven shillings and sixpence ;

(b) for other specialist services—two shillings and sixpence for each occasion on which a person avails himself of any such service or, within a period of twenty-four hours, of a series of such services.

Explanatory Note.

This order fixes the charges to be made on certain classes of eligible persons for specialist services under the Health Acts.
