CIVIL SERVICE REGULATIONS, 1924 (REVOCATION) REGULATIONS, 1957.

I, GERARD SWEETMAN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (2) of section 22 of the Civil Service Regulation Act, 1956 (No. 46 of 1956), hereby make the following regulations :—

1. These regulations may be cited as the Civil Service Regulations, 1924 (Revocation) Regulations, 1957.

2. The Regulations made on the 26th day of April, 1924, by the Minister for Finance under section 9 of the Civil Service Regulation Act, 1924 (No. 5 of 1924) are hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These regulations repeal certain regulations made by the Minister for Finance under Section 9 of the Civil Service Regulation Act, 1924 . The repealed regulations dealt with the tenure of office of established civil servants and the retirement on marriage of established female civil servants. These matters are now dealt with in the Civil Service Regulation Act, 1956 .
