INFECTIOUS DISEASES (TEMPORARY PROVISIONS) REGULATIONS, 1956.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 29 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) hereby makes the following Regulations :—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Infectious Diseases (Temporary Provisions) Regulations, 1956.

2. In these Regulations, the expression " the Principal Regulations means the Infectious Diseases Regulations, 1948 ( S.I. No. 99 of 1948 ).

3. Until these Regulations are revoked, the Second Schedule of the Principal Regulations shall be construed as if the words " Acute lymphocytic meningitis " were included therein below the words " Acute anterior poliomyelitis."

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These temporary Regulations make acute lymphocytic meningitis a scheduled infectious disease for the purposes of the Infectious Diseases Regulations, 1948.
