LOCAL GOVERNMENT (DUBLIN) (TEMPORARY) ACT, 1948 (CONTINUANCE) ORDER, 1956.

The Minister for Local Government, in exercise of the powers vested in him by subsection (2) of section 3 of the Local Government (Dublin) (Temporary) Act, 1948 , hereby orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Dublin) (Temporary) Act, 1948 (Continuance) Order, 1956.

2. Part II of the Local Government (Dublin) (Temporary) Act, 1948 (No. 15 of 1948) shall continue in force for six months from the 1st day of July, 1956.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order continues in force for six months from the 1st day of July 1956, Part II of the Local Government (Dublin) (Temporary) Act, 1948 (No. 15 of 1948) which provides that the executive functions of the Dublin Board of Assistance are to be performed by the chief executive officer of the board and not by the Dublin City Manager or the Dublin County Manager.
