CARRIAGE OF WHEAT ORDER, 1956.

I, WILLIAM NORTON, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the power conferred on me by subsection (3) of section 2 of the Transport (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1955 (No. 21 of 1955), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Carriage of Wheat Order, 1956.

2. During the period commencing on the 1st day of April, 1956, and ending on the 31st day of August, 1956, section 9 of the Road Transport Act, 1933 (No. 8 of 1933), (which restricts the carriage of merchandise by unlicensed persons) shall not apply to the carriage of wheat by a person authorised under the Wheat Order, 1955 ( S.I. No. 137 of 1955 ), to act as the agent of the licensee of a mill, where the wheat was purchased by the agent for the licensee and is carried in a vehicle owned by the agent.
