SOLICITORS ACT, 1954 (APPRENTICES' FEES) REGULATIONS, 1954.

By virtue and in pursuance of sections 4 , 5 , 79 and 82 of the Solicitors Act, 1954 , and of every other power in this behalf the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland with the concurrence of the Chief Justice hereby make the following regulations :—

1. From and after the date of these regulations the fees specified in the schedule hereto shall be paid to the Society by the petitioner or applicant in respect of the matters therein mentioned.

2. The regulations dated 2nd December, 1946, and 30th July, 1953, are hereby rescinded.

3. These regulations shall come into operation on 23rd day of December, 1954.

4. These regulations may be cited as the Solicitors Act, 1954 , (Apprentices' Fees) Regulations, 1954.

SCHEDULE.

1. On application for consent of the Society to enter into indentures, £12.

2. On application to attend a first examination in Irish, £2 2s. 0d.

3. On each application to attend any first examination in Irish after the first, £1 1s. 0d.

4. On each application to attend any Preliminary Examination after the first, £2 2s. 0d.

5. On application for entry by the registrar of indentures of apprenticeship, other than supplemental indentures or a transfer of indentures, £68.

6. On application to attend the Intermediate Examination, £5 5s. 0d.

7. On each application to attend any Intermediate Examination after the first, £3 3s. 0d.

8. On application to attend the second examination in Irish, £3 3s. 0d.

9. On each application to attend any second examination in Irish after the first, £2 2s. 0d.

10. On application to attend the Final Examination, £12.

11. On each application to attend any Final Examination after the first, £4 4s. 0d.

12. On each application to attend a course of lectures, £8 8s. 0d.

13. On application for entry of a name on the roll of solicitors, £30.

14. On application for permission to give late notice of intention to attend any examination or course of lectures, £2 2s. 0d., or such lesser fee as the Society may accept in special circumstances.
