AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (EGGS) (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2) REGULATIONS, 1954.

I, JAMES M. DILLON, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Agricultural Produce (Eggs) Act, 1939 (No. 2 of 1939), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby make the following regulations :

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Agricultural Produce (Eggs) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1954.

(2) The Agricultural Produce (Eggs) Regulations, 1939 to 1954, and these Regulations shall be construed as one.

(3) These Regulations shall be included in the Regulations which may be cited together as the Agricultural Produce (Eggs) Regulations, 1939 to 1954.

2. Article 24 of the Agricultural Produce (Eggs) Regulations, 1939 ( S. R. & O. No. 169 of 1939 ) is hereby amended by the deletion of paragraphs (2) and (3) (inserted therein by the Agricultural Produce (Eggs) (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations, 1941 ( S. R. & O. No. 502 of 1941 )) and the substitution therefor of the following paragraphs, that is to say :

"(2) Registered Dealers. Eggs shall not be kept on premises registered in the Register of Dealers for a period exceeding seventy-two hours from the time such eggs were acquired.

(3) In computing for the purposes of either of the foregoing paragraphs of this Article the period of seventy-two hours mentioned therein, no account shall be taken of any Sunday or any public or Church holiday on which no work is done on the registered premises in respect of which such period is being so computed."
