WILD BIRDS (COUNTY CLARE) ORDER, 1954.

WHEREAS the County Manager of the County of Clare has applied to the Minister for Justice for an order prohibiting the killing or taking of swans in the County of Clare during any period (other than and in addition to the close time) of any year for the reason that such order is necessary to prevent the extermination of swans in the County of Clare :

NOW, the Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub-section (3) of section 2 of the Wild Birds Protection Act, 930 (No. 16 of 1930), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling and for the reason that this Order is necessary to prevent the extermination of swans in the County of Clare, hereby orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Wild Birds (County Clare) Order, 1954.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. No person shall kill or take swans in the County of Clare during any period (other than and in addition to the close time) of any year.
