MERCHANT SHIPPING (SAFETY CONVENTION) ACT, 1952 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1953.

The Government, in exercise of the power conferred on them by section 2 of the Merchant Shipping (Safety Convention) Act, 1952 (No. 29 of 1952), hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Safety Convention) Act, 1952 (Commencement) Order, 1953.

2. The 19th day of November, 1953, is hereby appointed to be the day on which the Merchant Shipping (Safety Convention) Act, 1952 , shall come into operation.
