ESTABLISHMENT ORDER (WOMEN'S CLOTHING AND MILLINERY JOINT LABOUR COMMITTEE) AMENDMENT ORDER, 1953.

WHEREAS the Women's Clothing and Millinery Trade Board (Irish Free State) (hereinafter called " the Board ") was established by Regulations dated the 31st March, 1926, made by the Minister for Industry and Commerce ( S. R. & O. No. 27 of 1926 ) (hereinafter called " the said Regulations ") for the trade specified in the Trade Boards (Women's Clothing and Millinery) Order, 1926 (hereinafter called "the said Order") and set out in the Schedule to the said regulations :

AND WHEREAS the said Order was varied by the Women's Clothing and Millinery Trade Board (Amendment) Regulations, 1935 and 1938, and by the Trade Boards (Women's Clothing and Millinery) Order, 1926 (Variation) Order, 1944 :

AND WHEREAS the Board was a Trade Board which existed immediately before the commencement of the Industrial Relations Act, 1946 , and by virtue of Section 53 of that Act is deemed to be a Joint Labour Committee established under Part IV of that Act by an establishment order and operating in relation to the workers and employers in relation to whom it operated immediately before such commencement :

AND WHEREAS application has been made to the Labour Court (hereinafter called " the Court ") in accordance with Section 40 of the Industrial Relations Act, 1946 , for an order varying the specification of the trade for which the Board was established and in which the workers and employers in relation to whom the Women's Clothing and Millinery Joint Labour Committee operates are engaged :

AND WHEREAS the requirements of Section 40 of the Act have been complied with in respect of such application :

NOW, THEREFORE, the Court, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by Section 40 of the Industrial Relations Act, 1946 , hereby orders as follows :—

(1) the said Order as varied is hereby amended by the substitution for Clause (c) in the Appendix thereto of the following clause:—

(c) the making from rubberised or oilskin material or material commonly called plastic of men's or women's, boys' or girls' outer garments excluding aprons ; and the making from rubberised or oilskin material or material commonly called plastic of women's or girls' headgear where carried out in association with or in conjunction with the making of other rubberised oilskin or plastic articles ;

(2) the said Regulations as amended are hereby further amended by the substitution for Clause (c) in the Schedule thereto of the following clause :—

(c) the making from rubberised or oilskin material or material commonly called plastic of men's or women's, boys' or girls' outer garments excluding aprons; and the making from rubberised or oilskin material or material commonly called plastic of women's or girls' headgear where carried out in association with or in conjunction with the making of other rubberised, oilskin or plastic articles ;

(3) this Order shall come into operation on the 7th day of November, 1953 ;

(4) this Order shall be cited as the Establishment Order (Women's Clothing and Millinery Joint Labour Committee) Amendment Order, 1953.
