CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 10) ORDER, 1934 (ROAD VEHICLE BODIES) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1953.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Control of Imports Acts, 1934 and 1937, and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 10) Order, 1934 (Road Vehicle Bodies) (Amendment) Order, 1953.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. This Order shall come into operation on the 18th day of August, 1953.

4. The Control of Imports (Quota No. 10) Order, 1934 ( S. R. & O. No. 289 of 1934 ), as amended, is hereby further amended by the insertion at the end of paragraph 5 of the following word and subparagraph :—

" or

(c) is a motor car body which is completely or substantially assembled and is primarily constructed or adapted for the carriage of goods (including burthen) or of a number of persons exceeding six exclusive of the driver or of both such goods and such number of persons."
