DISTRICT COURT (NEW AREAS) ORDER, 1927. (VARIATION NO. 152) ORDER, 1953.

I, GERALD BOLAND, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (3) of section 47 of the Court Officers Act, 1926 (No. 27 of 1926), and of section 11 of the Court Officers Act, 1945 (No. 25 of 1945), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the District Court (New Areas) Order, 1927 (Variation No. 152) Order, 1953.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1953.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. (a) For the purpose of cases of civil jurisdiction the District Court Areas mentioned in the first column of the First Schedule hereto shall consist of the district electoral divisions specified in the second column of the said First Schedule in substitution for those heretofore forming the said District Court Areas.

(b) The District Court for each district Court area mentioned in the First Schedule shall be held at the place and times specified in the first column thereof.

4. For the purpose of cases of summary jurisdiction the days and times for holding the District Court in the District Court Areas mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby varied by the substitution of the days and times mentioned in that behalf in the said Second Schedule for those appointed heretofore.

5.—(1) Business transacted in the District Court which is initiated before the date on which this Order comes into operation and is not completed before that date shall be continued and completed at the place and on the days and at the times mentioned in this Order.

(2) For the purposes of this Article, business transacted in the District Court shall be regarded as being initiated on the day on which the summons, warrant, process or other originating document relative to it is issued.
