HOUSING (LOAN CHARGES CONTRIBUTIONS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1953.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 14 of the Housing (Financial and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1932 , and in exercise of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations :—

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Housing (Loan Charges Contributions) (Amendment) Regulations, 1953.

(2) These Regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Housing (Loan Charges Contributions) Regulations, 1932 to 1951 and may be cited together therewith as the Housing (Loan Charges Contributions) Regulations, 1932 to 1953.

2. In these Regulations, the expression " scheme to which these Regulations apply " means a scheme for the provision of houses, cottages or other housing accommodation the expenses of which are defrayed out of moneys raised—

(a) by borrowing from the Local Loans Fund with the sanction of the Minister for Finance given on or after the 1st day of May, 1953, or

(b) by the creation and issue of stock or otherwise with the consent or sanction of the Minister for Local Government given on or after the 15th day of January, 1953.

3. Article 5 of the Housing (Loan Charges Contributions) Regulations, 1932, (S.R. & O. 1932 No. 96) shall in its application to a scheme to which these Regulations apply have effect with the following amendments :—

(a) In sub-paragraph (i) of paragraph (b), " £2,000 " shall be substituted for " £1,400. "

(b) In sub-paragraph (ii) of paragraph (b), " £1,500 " shall be substituted for " £1,000 " and " £1,500 " shall be substituted for " £950."

(c) In paragraph (c) " £1,500 " shall be substituted for " £1,000 " and " £1,500 " shall be substituted for " £950."

(d) In paragraph (d) " £1,500 " shall be substituted for " £950 " and " £1,000 " shall be substituted for " £800."
