Extension of section 18 of Land Act, 1927, and section 41 of Land Act, 1931.

15.—(1) Where the resumption price of a holding or part of a holding resumed by the Land Commission (whether before or after the passing of this Act) is payable in cash, the payment referred to in subsection (4) of section 18 of the Land Act, 1927 , may, where interest on the resumption price is not available for such payment, be paid in priority to all other claims out of the resumption price on the allocation thereof.

(2) Where a holding or part of a holding has been or shall here-after be resumed by the Land Commission and such holding or part was or is then rated in conjunction with other land, the provisions of section 41 of the Land Act, 1931 , shall apply in relation to the holding or part in like manner as those provisions apply in relation to untenanted land, but with the substitution of “the day on which the Land Commission enter into occupation” for “the appointed day”.
