EMERGENCY POWERS (Nos. 282 AND 320) ORDERS (TERMINATION OF SUSPENSION OF CERTAIN PACKAGE DUTIES) ORDER, 1952.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Emergency Powers (Nos. 282 and 320) Orders (Termination of Suspension of certain Package Duties) Order, 1952.

2. (1) Article 5 of the Emergency Powers (No. 282) Order, 1943 (S. R. & O., No. 247 of 1943) (which suspends the customs duty on certain packages) shall, as respects articles imported on or after the 30th day of September, 1952, cease to apply to the articles (medicinal preparations and surgical dressings) mentioned in paragraphs (a) and (c) of that Article.

(2) Article 6 of the Emergency Powers (No. 320) Order, 1944 (S. R. & O., No. 156 of 1944) (which suspends the customs duty on certain packages) shall, as respects articles imported on or after the 30th day of September, 1952, cease to apply to the articles (coffee, ground or roasted, and certain disinfectants, etc.) mentioned at reference numbers 4 and 7 in the Third Schedule to that Order.
