INSURANCE (INTERMITTENT UNEMPLOYMENT) (INSURANCE YEAR) REGULATIONS, 1952.

The Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the joint operation of the Insurance (Intermittent Unemployment) Act, 1942 (No. 7 of 1942), the Social Welfare Act, 1952 (No. 11 of 1952), the Social Welfare (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) (No. 1) Order, 1947 (S. R. & O., No. 18 of 1947), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby makes the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Insurance (Intermittent Unemployment) (Insurance Year) Regulations, 1952.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 6th day of October, 1952.

3. Each of the following periods shall be an insurance year for the purposes of the Insurance (Intermittent Unemployment) Act, 1942 (No. 7 of 1942), that is to say :—

(a) the period commencing on the 6th day of October, 1952, and ending on the 3rd day of January, 1954,

(b) any period (being a period subsequent to the period specified in the immediately preceding paragraph) commencing on the Monday following the first Sunday in each January and ending on the first Sunday in January in the next following year.
