DEPARTMENT OF POSTS AND TELEGRAPHS. THE POSTAL ORDER (INLAND) AMENDMENT (No. 4) REGULATIONS, 1951.

I, the Minister for Finance of Ireland, in exercise of all powers now vested in me by the Post Office Acts, 1908 to 1937, the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 , the Ministers' and Secretaries' Act, 1924, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do, by this Warrant, made on the representation of the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs (testified by his signing the same) order, direct, and declare as follows :—

1. These Regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Postal Order (Inland) Regulations, 1905 (hereinafter referred to as " The Principal Regulations ") and all Regulations amending the same.

2. From and after the date when these Regulations come into operation the Postal Order (Inland) Amendment (No. 3) Regulations, 1920, are hereby repealed and the following Regulation is substituted in lieu of Regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations, namely:—

5. The poundage payable for Postal Orders shall be as follows :—

For an Order for 6d.

1d.

For an Order for any multiple of 6d. up to and including 21s.

2d.

3. The repeal of said Regulations shall not :

(a) revive anything not in force or existing at the time at which the repeal takes effect ;

(b) affect anything done or suffered before these Regulations came into operation.

4. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 9th day of July, 1951.

5. These Regulations may be cited as " The Postal Order (Inland) Amendment (No. 4) Regulations 1951 ".
