SEWING THREAD (MAXIMUM PRICES) ORDER, 1951 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1951

I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Article 31 of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939 (S. R. & O. No. 224 of 1939), as amended by the Emergency Powers (No. 173) Order, 1942 (S. R. & O. No. 166 of 1942) (which Orders are continued in force by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946)), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :—

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Sewing Thread (Maximum Prices) Order, 1951 (Amendment) Order, 1951.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the third day of October, 1951.

2. The Schedule to the Sewing Thread (Maximum Prices) Order, 1951 ( S.I. No. 194 of 1951 ) shall have effect as if, for the particulars set out at reference number 10 and the said reference number, there were substituted the following :—

11	Mercerised Fast Colour Machine Twist, assorted colours, when sold in units of 100 yards on reel, card, cop or core under the description "Specially Made for Singer Sewing Machines."	47/3d. per gross units of 100 yards per unit.	5d. per 100 yards.
12	Sewing Cotton Thread or Sewing Artificial Silk Thread of any kind sold under conditions other than those set out at reference numbers 1-11 inclusive.	3/3½d. per 1,200 yds.	4d. per 100 yds.
