COAL (DUBLIN AND DUN LAOGHAIRE) (MAXIMUM PRICES) ORDER, 1951.

I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Article 31 of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939 (S. R. & O. No. 224 of 1939), as amended by the Emergency Powers (No. 173) Order, 1942 (S. R. & O. No. 166 of 1942) (which Orders are continued in force by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946)), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Coal (Dublin and Dun Laoghaire) (Maximum Prices) Order, 1951.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of October, 1951.

2. References in this Order to selling shall be construed as including references to agreeing or offering to sell or to inviting an offer to buy.

3. In this Order " coal " has the meaning attached to it by custom in the trade but excludes anthracite.

4.—(1) No person shall sell by retail coal in the County Borough of Dublin or in the Borough of Dun Laoghaire, under the conditions set out in Column (2) of the Schedule hereto, at a price exceeding a price calculated at the rate set out in Column (3) at the appropriate reference number.

(2) No person shall offer or expose for sale by retail in the County Borough of Dublin or in the Borough of Dun Laoghaire coal under the conditions set out at reference number 1 or 2 in Column (2) of the Schedule hereto unless he has prominently displayed in his premises and on the vehicle, stall, barrow or other container from which coal is sold a plainly legible notice stating the price at which such coal is offered for sale.

5. On the commencement of this Order the Coal (Maximum Prices) Order, 1951 ( S.I. No. 252 of 1951 ), shall cease to apply to coal sold in the County Borough of Dublin or the Borough of Dun Laoghaire.

When sold retail to a domestic user at the premies of the vendor, delivery being taken at such premises

½½d. per stone

When sold under conditions other than those set out at reference numbers 1 and 2 of this Schedule
