LAND REGISTRATION RULES, 1951.

The Registration of Title Rules Committee, in exercise of the power in Section 94 (1) of the Registration of Title Act, 1891, as amended by Section 74 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1936 , and of every other power in this behalf, with the concurrence of the Minister for Justice, hereby makes the Rules annexed hereto for carrying into effect the object of the said Act.

PRELIMINARY.

1 Date of Rules

1. These Rules shall come into operation on the first day of September, 1951.

2 Interpretation.

2. The Land Registration Rules, 1944, the Land Registration Rules, 1946, the Land Registration Rules, 1947 (Solicitors' Costs), the Land Registration Rules, 1949, the Land Registration Rules, 1949 (Solicitors' Costs), and these Rules shall be construed together, and the provisions of Rule 2 of the Land Registration Rules, 1937, shall apply for the purpose of the interpretation of these Rules.

3. In these Rules, the expression " the 1937 Rules " means the Land Registration Rules, 1937.

AMENDMENT OF THE LAND REGISTRATION RULES, 1937.

4 Additional Sub-rule to Rule 154 of the 1937 Rules.

4. The following Sub-rule is hereby prescribed as an addition to Rule 154 of the 1937 Rules, viz. :—

(6) Until an existing Folio of the register is revised in accordance with these Rules, a Land Certificate in respect thereof may be issued in a form which shall incorporate a photostatic positive fac-simile of such Folio.

5 Rescission of Rule 157 of the 1937 Rules.

5. Rule 157 of the 1937 Rules is hereby amended to the extent necessary to give effect to the preceding rule.
