WILD BIRDS (COUNTY WEXFORD) ORDER, 1950.

WHEREAS the County Manager of the County of Wexford has applied to the Minister for Justice for an order prohibiting the taking or destroying of the eggs of the wild birds not prohibited from being taken or destroyed by the Wild Birds (County Wexford) Order, 1948 ( S.I. No. 27 of 1948 ), save the eggs of the hoodie crow and the magpie :

NOW, I, SEÁN MAC EOIN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 of the Wild Birds Protection Act, 1930 (No. 16 of 1930), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby, because of the usefulness of wild birds to agriculture, order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Wild Birds (County Wexford) Order, 1950.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. (1) No person shall take or destroy in the County of Wexford the eggs of any wild bird.

(2) Paragraph (1) of this Article shall not apply to the eggs of the hoodie crow and the magpie.

4. The Wild Birds (County Wexford) Order, 1948 ( S.I. No. 27 of 1948 ), is hereby revoked.
