REGISTRATION EXPENSES ORDER, 1924 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1950.

I, PATRICK McGILLIGAN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (3) of Section 12 of the Electoral Act, 1923 (No. 12 of 1923), hereby order as follows :—

1. The Scale of Registration Expenses framed by the Minister for Finance on the 21st day of February, 1924, shall have effect as if the following were substituted for paragraphs (a) and (b) of Article 1—

" (a) Remuneration and expenses of persons acting as rate collectors :

(1) in urban districts, boroughs and county boroughs—

for every 10 electors or fraction greater than 5 2s. 0d.

(2) in county health districts—

for every 10 electors or fraction greater than 5 2s. 4d.

(b) Remuneration and expenses of secretaries of county councils, clerks of urban district councils and town clerks of boroughs and county boroughs :

for every 100 electors or fraction greater than 50 20s. 0d.

Where a registration unit is transferred from a county health district to an urban district, borough or county borough, or from an urban district, borough or county borough to a county health district during the period of preparation of an annual register of electors, the transfer shall, for the purpose of determining remuneration and expenses under paragraphs (a) and (b) of this Article, be deemed not to take place until after the register comes into force."

2. This Order may be cited as the Registration Expenses Order, 1924 (Amendment) Order, 1950.
