CUSTOMS DUTIES (MISCELLANEOUS SUSPENSIONS) ORDER, 1950. | ||
The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by, the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22) of 1946), hereby order as follows :— 1. This Order may be cited as the Customs Duties (Miscellaneous Suspensions) Order, 1950. 2. Article 2 of each of the following Orders— | ||
(a) The Emergency Powers (No. 192) Order, 1942 (S. R. & O. No. 256 of 1942), | ||
(b) The Emergency Powers (No. 282) Order, 1943 (S. R. & O. No. 247 of 1943), | ||
(c) The Customs Duties (Miscellaneous Suspensions) Order 1947 ( S. R. & O. No. 105 of 1947 ), | ||
(d) The Customs Duties (Miscellaneous Suspensions) (No. 3 Order, 1948 (S.I., No. 403 of 1948), | ||
is hereby amended by the substitution of "the 30th day of September, 1950," for " the 31st day of March, 1950." 3. Article 2 of the Emergency Powers (No. 320) Order, 1944 (S. R. & O. No. 156 of 1944), is hereby amended :— | ||
(a) in the case of articles mentioned at reference number 32 in the First Schedule to that Order, by the substitution of " the 3rd day of April, 1950," for " the 31st day of March, 1950," and | ||
(b) in any other case, by the substitution of " the 30th day of September, 1950," for " the 31st day of March, 1950." 4. Article 2 of the Emergency Powers (No. 257) Order, 1943 (S. R. & O. No. 71 of 1943), is hereby amended by the substitution of " the 1st day of October, 1950," for " the 1st day of April, 1950." 5. The operation of the Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 199) Order, 1939 ( S. R. & O. No. 214 of 1939 ), in so far as it imposes a duty of customs on the articles referred to at paragraphs (b), (c), (d), (e), (f) (g) and (h) of Article 3 thereof is hereby suspended during the period beginning on the 1st day of April, 1950, and ending on the 30th day of September, 1950. | ||
