PHARMACEUTICAL SOCIETY REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) No. 2) 1950.

RESOLUTION PASSED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE PHARMACEUTICAL SOCIETY OF IRELAND ON THE 14th FEBRUARY, 1950, AMENDING THE REGULATIONS OF THE SOCIETY.

Proposed by : T. C. Scott.

Seconded by : John P. Kissane.

That the Regulations be amended as follows :—

Delete Regulation IV, page 66, of Book of Acts and Regulations, and insert in lieu therof :

The Council shall elect fit and proper persons to be Examiners (to conduct such Examinations as are directed by Clause 21 of the Pharmacy Act (Ireland), 1875) in each of the divisions of Examinations, viz :—

I. English, Latin, Mathematics, Irish and optional subject.

(This Examination to be known as the Preliminary Examination.)

II. Elementary Chemistry and Elementary Physics.

(This Examination to be known as the Pre-Registration Examination.)

III. Materia Medica and Botany,

Pharmaceutical and General Chemistry,

Pharmacy, Reading and Translating of Prescriptions,

The Irish Pharmacopoeia, and

The Sale of Poisons (Ireland), Act, 33 and 34 Vict., cap. 26, 1870.

(This Examination to be known as the Pharmaceutical Licence Examination.)

That the Seal of the Society be affixed hereto.

We hereby certify that the above is a correct copy of a resolution passed by the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland at a Meeting of the said Council on the 14th day of February, 1950.
