ELECTRIC FILAMENT LAMPS (SCREW CAP) (SUSPENSION OF CUSTOMS DUTIES) ORDER, 1949.

The Government in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946), hereby order as follows :—

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Electric Filament Lamps (Screw Cap) (Suspension of Customs Duties) Order, 1949.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 19th day of November, 1949.

2. The duty of customs imposed on certain electric filament lamps by section 8 of the Finance Act, 1939 (No. 18 of 1939), and mentioned at reference number 11 in the First Schedule to that Act is hereby suspended in respect of every electric filament lamp having a screw cap and being of a voltage not in excess of 28 volts. Order, 1947 ( S. R. & O. No. 260 of 1947 ), as amended by the Customs Duties (Miscellaneous Suspensions) (No. 2) Order, 1949 (S. I.

3. The Electric Filament Lamps (Suspension of Customs Duties) No. 259 of 1949), is hereby revoked:
