PERSONAL CLOTHING AND WEARING APPAREL (CUSTOMS DUTY) ORDER, 1948 (PARTIAL REVOCATION) ORDER, 1949.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946), hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Personal Clothing and Wearing Apparel (Customs Duty) Order, 1948 (Partial Revocation) Order, 1949.

2. Paragraphs (d) and (e) of Article 4 of the Personal Clothing and Wearing Apparel (Customs Duty) Order, 1948 ( S.I. No. 14 of 1948 ), shall cease to apply to articles, imported on or after the 21st day of November, 1949, which are made wholly or mainly of wool, are either wholly or mainly knitted or made of knitted fabric and are—

(a) undergarments (excluding shirts and collars),

or

(b) cardigans, pullovers, jerseys, blouses and similar articles.
