MERCHANT SHIPPING (FEES) ORDER, 1940 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1949.

The Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Merchant Shipping Acts, 1894 to 1947, hereby, with the consent of the Minister for Finance, orders as follows:

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Fees) Order, 1940 (Amendment) Order, 1949.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 21st day of August, 1949.

2. The First Schedule to the Merchant Shipping (Fees) Order, 1940 ( S. R. & O. No. 36 of 1940 ), is hereby amended as follows :—

(a) by the substitution of the scale of fees set out in the Schedule to this Order for the scale set out in paragraph 31 ;

(b) by the substitution in subparagraphs (1) and (2) of paragraph 31 of " £2 " for " £1 " wherever the latter occurs ;

(c) by the substitution in paragraph 90 for—

" Extra Master (if possessing a Master's Certificate)
