WILD BIRDS (COUNTY CAVAN) ORDER, 1949.

WHEREAS the County Manager of the County of Cavan has applied to the Minister for Justice for an order prohibiting the taking or destroying in the County of Cavan of the eggs of any wild bird other than the hoodie crow, the magpie and the woodpigeon because of the usefulness of wild birds to agriculture :

NOW, I, SEÁN MAC EOIN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 of the Wild Birds Protection Act, 1930 (No. 16 of 1930), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby, because of the usefulness of wild birds to agriculture, order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Wild Birds (County Cavan) Order, 1949.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. (1) No person shall take or destroy in the County of Cavan the eggs of any wild bird other than the hoodie crow, the magpie and the woodpigeon.

(2) The Wild Birds (Cavan) Order, 1933, ( S. R. & O. No. 124 of 1933 ), is hereby revoked.
