CORK DISTRICT MILK BOARD (MINIMUM PRICES FOR MILK) ORDER, 1949.

WHEREAS a determination of the Cork District Milk Board under Section 42 of the Milk (Regulation of Supply and Price) Act, 1936 (No. 43 of 1936), was communicated to the Minister for Agriculture and has been considered by him :

NOW I, JAMES M. DILLON, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-paragraph (i) of paragraph (b) of sub-section (1) of Section 43 of the Milk (Regulation of Supply and Price) Act, 1936 (No. 43 of 1936), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Cork District Milk Board (Minimum Prices for Milk) Order, 1949, and shall come into operation on the 1st day of May, 1949.

2. In this Order—

the expression " registered producers " means persons registered in the register of producers kept by the Cork District Milk Board ;

the expression " registered retailers " means persons registered in the register of retailers kept by the Cork District Milk Board ;

the expression " registered wholesalers " means persons registered in the register of wholesalers kept by the Cork District Milk Board.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937) applies to this Order.

4. The Cork District Milk Board (Minimum Prices for Milk) Order, 1948 (No. 146 of 1948) is hereby revoked.

5. The minimum prices to be paid to registered producers for milk sold by them to registered retailers shall be at the following rates :—

(1) where the milk is delivered during the months of May to September inclusive—

(a) if the milk is delivered at the premises of the registered producer, one shilling and six pence per gallon ;

(b) if the milk is delivered at a place other than the premises of the registered producer, one shilling and seven pence per gallon ;

(2) where the milk is delivered during the months of October to December, inclusive ;

(a) if the milk is delivered at the premises of the registered producer, two shillings and two pence per gallon ;

(b) if the milk is delivered at a place other than the premises of the registered producer, two shillings and three pence per gallon ;

(3) where the milk is delivered during the months of January to April, inclusive—

(a) if the milk is delivered at the premises of the registered producer, two shillings and three pence per gallon ;

(b) if the milk is delivered at a place other than the premises of the registered producer, two shillings and four pence per gallon.

6. The minimum prices to be paid to registered producers for milk sold by them to registered wholesalers shall be at the following rates :—

(1) where the milk is delivered during the months of May to September, inclusive—

(a) if the milk is delivered at the premises of the registered producer, one shilling and six pence per gallon ;

(b) if the milk is delivered at a place other than the premises of the registered producer, one shilling and six pence per gallon ;

(2) where the milk is delivered during the months of October to December, inclusive—

(a) if the milk is delivered at the premises of the registered producer, two shillings and two pence per gallon ;

(b) if the milk is delivered at a place other than the premises of the registered producer, two shillings and two pence per gallon ;

(3) where the milk is delivered during the months of January to April, inclusive—

(a) if the milk is delivered at the premises of the registered producer, two shillings and three pence per gallon ;

(b) if the milk is delivered at a place other than the premises of the registered producer, two shillings and three pence per gallon.
