HOME-GROWN WHEAT (NATIONAL PERCENTAGE FOR CEREAL YEAR 1949—50) ORDER, 1948.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1935 (No. 26 of 1935), that the Minister for Agriculture, after consultation with the Minister for Industry and Commerce, shall, before the commencement of every cereal year, make, not later than eight months before the commencement of such cereal year, an Order fixing for the purposes of the said Section 6 a percentage in respect of such cereal year :

AND WHEREAS the Minister for Agriculture has consulted with the Minister for Industry and Commerce in regard to the making of this Order :—

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JAMES M. DILLON, Minister for Agriculture, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1935 (No. 26 of 1935), and in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the said sub-section and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Home-Grown Wheat (National Percentage for Cereal Year 1949—50) Order, 1948.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. For the purposes of Section 6 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1935 , the percentage in respect of the cereal year commencing on the 1st day of September, 1949, shall be seventy-five per cent.
