EMERGENCY POWERS (CONTROL OF EXPORT) (AMENDMENT) (No. 29) ORDER, 1948.

I, DANIEL MORRISSEY, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Article 31 of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939 (S. R. & O. No. 224 of 1939), as amended by the Emergency Powers (No. 173) Order, 1942 (S. R. & O. No. 166 of 1942) (which Orders are continued in force by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946)), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Emergency Powers (Control of Export) (Amendment) (No. 29) Order, 1948.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 15th day of November, 1948.

2. The Emergency Powers (Control of Export) Order, 1940 (S. R. & O. No. 149 of 1940), as amended by subsequent Orders, shall cease to apply to the following :—

Gramophone and pianola records.

Goods commonly known as fancy goods, household goods and toilet requisites if made wholly or partly of ivory, amber, jet, coral, mother-of-pearl or natural shell including tortoise-shell ; jade, onyx, lapis lazuli or other similar stones ; celluloid or other plastic material derived from cellulose, casein, papier maché or synthetic resin ; and also the following, if made of other substances—

beads and bead trimmings and articles manufactured mainly of beads,

book ends,

fancy blotters,

ink stands,

photograph and picture frames,

hair combs (including combs for wear) and dog combs, kelp, namely, calcined ashes of seaweed.

Live goats.

Grass seeds for sowing.
