LOCAL GOVERNMENT (OFFICERS AGE LIMIT) ORDER, 1948.

WHEREAS the Minister for Local Government is the appropriate Minister for the purposes of Part II of the Local Government Act, 1941 , in relation to the office of rate collector under a local authority :

NOW THEREFORE the Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers vested in him by section 23 of the Local Government Act, 1941 , and of every other power in this behalf enabling him by this his Order declares and orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Officers Age Limit) Order, 1948.

2. The age of sixty-five years shall be the age limit for any office of Rate Collector under a local authority the holder of which is entitled by law to a superannuation allowance on his resigning or otherwise ceasing to hold office.
