DIPLOMATIC AND CONSULAR FEES (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1948.

I, SEÁN MACBRIDE, Minister for External Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Commissioners for Oaths (Diplomatic and Consular) Act, 1931 (No. 9 of 1931), and the Diplomatic and Consular Fees Act, 1939 (No. 31 of 1939), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling hereby, with the consent of the Minister for Finance, testified by his Official Seal affixed hereto, make the following Regulations :—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Diplomatic and Consular Fees (Amendment) Regulations, 1948.

2. The Commissioners for Oaths (Diplomatic and Consular) Fees Regulations, 1934 ( S. R. & O. No. 234 of 1934 ), are hereby amended by the substitution for the scale set out in the Schedule, of the scale set out in the First Schedule to these Regulations.

(3) The Diplomatic and Consular Fees (No. 1) Regulations, 1943 ( S. R. & O. No. 224 of 1943 ), are hereby amended—

(i) by the substitution in paragraph (a) of Article 3 of "10" for "11";

(ii) by the substitution in paragraph (b) of Article 3 of "11" for "12" and "14" for " 15";

(iii) by the substitution in paragraph (c) of Article 3 of "15" for "16";

(iv) by the substitution, for the scale set out in Part I of the Schedule, of the scale set out in the Second Schedule to these Regulations ;

(v) by the substitution, for the scale set out in Part II of the Schedule, of the scale set out in the Third Schedule to these Regulations.

4. The Diplomatic and Consular Fees (No. 2) Regulations, 1943 ( S. R. & O. No. 283 of 1943 ), are hereby amended—

(i) by the substitution in paragraph (a) of Article 3 of a fee of 2s. 6d. for a fee of 2s. 0d. ;

(ii) by the substitution in paragraph (b) of Article 3 of a fee of £1 for a fee of 17s. 0d.
