EMERGENCY POWERS (RATIONING OF SOAP) ORDER, 1944 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1948.

I, DANIEL MORRISSEY, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Article 31 of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939 (S. R. & O. No. 224 of 1939), as amended by the Emergency Powers (No. 173) Order, 1942 (S. R. & O. No. 166 of 1942) (which Orders are continued in force by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946)), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Emergency Powers (Rationing of Soap) Order, 1944 (Amendment) Order, 1948.

2. Article 5 of the Emergency Powers (Rationing of Soap) Order, 1944 (S. R. & O. No. 146 of 1944), as amended by the Emergency Powers (Rationing of Soap) Order, 1944 (Amendment) Order, 1947 (S. R. & O. No. 178 of 1947), is hereby further amended as follows :

(i) by the insertion in clause (i) of sub-paragraph (bb) of paragraph (1) of the words " or months " after the words " during the month " ;

(ii) by the insertion in clause (ii) of sub-paragraph (bb) of paragraph (1) of the words " or months " after the words " during the month " and the words " or those months after the words " following that month " ;

(iii) by the deletion of the last ten items in the Table annexed to sub-paragraph (bb) of paragraph (1) and the substitution therefor of the following :

" Coupon bearing the number 15	August and September, 1948.
" " " " 16	October and November, 1948.
" " " " 17	December, 1948 and January, 1949
" " " " 18	February and March, 1949.
" " " " 19	April and May, 1949.
" " " " 20	June and July, 1949.
" " " " 21	August and September, 1949.

" " " " 23	December, 1949, and January, 1950
" " " " 24	February and March, 1950."
