EMERGENCY POWERS (DISTRIBUTION OF BUTTER) ORDER, 1944 (SECOND AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1948.

I, DANIEL MORRISSEY, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Article 31 of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939 (S. R. & O. No. 224 of 1939), as amended by the Emergency Powers (No. 173) Order, 1942 (S. R. & O. No. 166 of 1942) (which Orders are continued in force by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946)), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Emergency Powers (Distribution of Butter) Order, 1944 (Second Amendment) Order, 1948.

2. In this Order—

the expression " the Principal Order " means the Emergency Powers (Distribution of Butter) Order, 1944 (S. R. & O. No. 121 of 1944) ;

the expressions " creamery butter " and " non-creamery butter " have the same meanings respectively as in the Principal Order.

3. (1) The Principal Order and the Emergency Powers (Distribution of Butter) Order, 1944 (First Amendment) Order, 1944 (S. R. & O. No. 171 of 1944), shall cease to apply in relation to non-creamery butter.

(2) For the purpose of giving effect to the foregoing paragraph of this Article—

(i) subparagraphs (b) and (c) of paragraph (2) of Article 3 and subparagraph (b) of paragraph (2) of Article 19 of the Principal Order are hereby revoked,

(ii) references to butter in subparagraph (a) of paragraph (2) of Article 3 and Articles 6, 7, 9, 15, 16, 19, 20, 22 and 23 of the Principal Order shall be construed as references to creamery butter.
