S.I. No. 28 of 1948.

WILD BIRDS (COUNTY GALWAY) ORDER, 1948.

WHEREAS the County Manager of the County of Galway has applied to the Minister for Justice for an order prohibiting the taking or destroying in the County of Galway of the eggs of any variety of seagull because of the usefulness of those birds to agriculture:

NOW, I, SEÁN MAC EOIN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 of Wild Birds Protection Act, 1930 (No. 16 of 1930), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby, because of the usefulness of the birds concerned to agriculture, order as follows:—

1 This Order may be cited as the Wild Birds (County Galway) Order, 1948.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. No person shall take or destroy in the County of Galway the eggs of any variety of seagull.
