SHOPS (HOURS OF TRADING) ACT, 1938 (EXEMPTED BUSINESS FOR PURPOSES OF PART III) ORDER, 1947.

I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (3) of section 22 of the Shops (Hours of Trading) Act, 1938 (No. 3 of 1938), hereby order as follows:

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Shops (Hours of Trading) Act, 1938 (Exempted Business for Purposes of Part III) Order, 1947.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 3rd day of November, 1947.

2. The business specified in the Schedule to this Order shall be an exempted business for the purposes of Part III of the Shops (Hours of Trading) Act, 1938 (No. 3 of 1938).

SCHEDULE.

The business of selling at a shop fish and chips for consumption off the premises in any case where the sale of fish and chips is the main or only business carried on at the shop.
