NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE (TERMINATION OF SANATORIUM BENEFIT AND ABOLITION OF INSURANCE COMMITTEES) REGULATIONS, 1934 (TRANSFER OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1947.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by subsection (1) of section 6 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the National Health Insurance (Termination of Sanatorium Benefit and Abolition of Insurance Committees) Regulations, 1934 (Transfer of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1947.

2. In this Order—

the word " functions " includes powers and duties ;

the expression " the Regulations of 1934 " means the National Health Insurance (Termination of Sanatorium Benefit and Abolition of Insurance Committees) Regulations, 1934 ( S. R. & O. No. 28 of 1934 ) ;

the expression " the Transfer Order " means the Social Welfare (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) (No. 1) Order, 1947 ( S. R. & O. No. 18 of 1947 ).

3.—(1) The functions under the Regulations of 1934, vested (by virtue of the Transfer Order) in the Minister for Social Welfare, are hereby transferred to the Minister for Health.

(2) In the Regulations of 1934, the reference (by virtue of the adaptation effected by the Transfer Order) to the Minister for Social Welfare shall be construed as references to the Minister for Health.
