AIR NAVIGATION (NAVIGATORS' LICENCES) DIRECTIONS 1947.

The Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Regulation 88 of the Air Navigation (General) Regulations, 1930 ( S. R. & O. No. 26 of 1930 ), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby issues the following directions :

1.—(1) These Directions may be cited as the Air Navigation (Navigators' Licences) Directions, 1947.

(2) These Directions and the Air Navigation (Navigators' Licences) Directions, 1937 and 1938, may be cited together as the Air Navigation (Navigators' Licences) Directions, 1937 to 1947.

2. To the subjects specified in Schedule A and Schedule B respectively of the Air Navigation (Navigators' Licences) Directions, 1937 (S. R. & O. No. 254 of 1937), there is hereby added the following :

"The calibration and use of instruments and aircraft equipment used in flight navigation, including the principles upon which they function, the errors to which they are subject and, where applicable, the methods of correction. The oral examination in this subject will include practical tests in the use and adjustment of navigational equipment."
