TRANSPORT OF WOOD FUEL ORDER, 1947.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Transport of Wood Fuel Order, 1947.

2.—(1) It shall be lawful for any person in the course of a merchandise road transport business carried on by him to carry wood fuel in any area in the State without a merchandise licence.

(2) In this Article, the expressions " merchandise licence " and " merchandise road transport business " have the same meanings as in the Road Transport Act, 1933 (No. 8 of 1933).
