FISHERIES ACT, 1939 (COMMENCEMENT) (No. 4) ORDER, 1946.

WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 2 of the Fisheries Act, 1939 (No. 17 of 1939), that the said Act shall come into operation on such day as shall be fixed for the purposes by order of the Minister for Agriculture either generally or with reference to any particular Part or provision and different days may be so fixed for different Parts and different provisions of the said Act :

NOW, I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 2 of the Fisheries Act, 1939 (No. 17 of 1939), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows, that is to say :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Fisheries Act, 1939 (Commencement) (No. 4) Order, 1946.

2. The 1st day of January, 1948, is hereby fixed as the day of which Section 35 and Section 36 of the Fisheries Act, 1939 (No. 17 of 1939), shall come into operation.
