CATTLE AND SHEEP (EXPORT LICENCE) REGULATIONS, 1946.

I, SÉAMAS O RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 of the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep Act, 1934 (No. 42 of 1934), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order and make regulations, as follows :

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Cattle and Sheep, (Export Licence) Regulations, 1946.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

3. Every export licence issued under subsection (1) of section 32 of the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep Act, 1934 (No. 42 Of 1934), shall be in the Form C.S.E.1. in the Schedule hereto.

4. Every application for an export licence under sub-section (2) of section 32 of the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep Act, 1934 (No. 42 of 1934), shall be made in the Form C.S.E.2 in the Schedule hereto and shall be sent by post or delivered to " The Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Dublin."

Pursuant to the powers vested in him by sub-section (1) of Section 32 of the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep Act, 1934 , the Minister for Agriculture by this licence authorises

NOTES.

1. This licence does not relieve the licensee(s) from compliance with any Order made under the Diseases of Animals (Ireland) Acts, 1894 to 1945, or any Customs or other regulations in force for the time being relating to the exportation and transhipment of goods.

2. The goods specified in this licence must, prior to exportation, be pre-entered by presenting the Specification or Shipping Bill required under the Customs Acts to the proper Officer of Customs and Excise.

3. This licence must be produced to the proper Officer of Customs and Excise prior to the exportation of the goods specified therein.

4. This licence is not transferable. It is valid only for the exportation of goods of the description and not exceeding the quantity (quantities) specified.

5. This licence is not valid unless it bears the Official Stamp in the place provided.

6. This licence must be returned to the Department of Agriculture, Upper Merrion Street, Dublin, as soon as the goods specified therein have been exported, or the period of validity of the licence has expired, whichever is the earlier.
