THE PUBLIC HEALTH (INFECTIOUS DISEASES) (AMENDMENT) (No. 2) REGULATIONS, 1943.

DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC HEALTH.

WHEREAS in pursuance of the Public Health (Ireland) Acts, 1878 to 1919, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health (hereinafter referred to as " the Minister ") did by the Public Health (Infectious Diseases) Regulations, 1941, make provision for the notification, prevention and treatment of certain epidemic, endemic or infectious diseases as therein provided :

AND WHEREAS the disease known as " scabies " is an infectious disease :

AND WHEREAS it is expedient in every urban sanitary district which is a county borough to extend the application of the said Regulations to the said disease of scabies :

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Public Health (Ireland) Acts, 1878 to 1919, and of all other powers in that behalf enabling him does hereby make the following regulations, that is to say :—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Public Health (Infectious Diseases) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1943.

2. The provisions of the Public Health (Infectious Diseases) Regulations, 1941, shall in their application to every urban sanitary district which is a county borough have effect as if the disease known as " scabies " were included among the diseases mentioned in the First Schedule to the said Regulations, and the said Regulations shall be read and construed accordingly.
