STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1942. No. 394.

LEVY (BUTTER STOCKS) (No. 3) ORDER, 1942.

WHEREAS it is enacted by subsection (1) of Section 3 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) (Amendment) Act, 1941 (No. 9 of 1941), that the Minister for Agriculture may, whenever and so often as he thinks fit by order declare—

(a) that a specified date (in the said subsection referred to as the appointed date) shall be the appointed date for the purposes of such order, and

(b) that there shall be paid to the said Minister by every registered proprietor of a creamery a levy, at the rate specified in such order, on all creamery butter (other than creamery butter manufactured in such creamery) held by or on behalf of such proprietor anywhere on the appointed date.

NOW, I, SÉAMAS O RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) (Amendment) Act, 1941 (No. 9 of 1941), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows, that is to say—

1. This Order may be cited as the Levy (Butter Stocks) (No. 3) Order, 1942.

2. The 10th day of September, 1942, is hereby appointed to be the appointed date for the purposes of this Order.

3. There shall be paid to the Minister for Agriculture by every registered proprietor of a creamery a levy, at the rate of twenty-eight shillings the hundredweight, on all creamery butter (other than creamery butter manufactured in such creamery) held by or on behalf of such proprietor anywhere on the appointed date.
