Consequential adaptations of the Acts.

5.—(1) The Acts shall be construed and have effect as if, in paragraph (f) of sub-section (1) of section 8 of the Act of 1911 and in sub-section (7) of the said section 8, there were substituted, for the references to Part I of the Act of 1911, references to a scheme under the immediately preceding section.

(2) The word “surplus” where it occurs in sub-section (3) of section 37 of the Act of 1911 shall be construed as meaning the amount made available for additional benefits in any year of an additional benefit period.
