STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1941. No. 396.

CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 3, SIXTEENTH PERIOD) ORDER, 1941.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Control of Imports Acts, 1934 and 1937, and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 3, Sixteenth Period) Order, 1941.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The period beginning on the 1st day of October, 1941, and ending on the 31st day of December, 1941, is hereby appointed to be the sixteenth quota period under the Control of Imports (Quota No. 3) Order, 1934 ( S. R. & O. No. 242 of 1934 ) (which relates to certain boots and shoes).

4. A total amounting to five hundred thousand articles to which the said Control of Imports (Quota No. 3) Order, 1934, applies shall be the quota in respect of the said sixteenth quota period.
